Working Together

Not knowing how something works can cause anxiety.

This may be your first time in counselling so here is some information about what to expect.

What do I do

I offer short and long term counselling. Depending on your need we may agree a number of sessions or leave this open ended with a planned review date.

My approach to therapy

I use an integrated approach which means I can draw on a variety of therapeutic models that are tailored to you. Our work will involve a therapeutic conversation, where we will look at how your thoughts, emotions and behaviour interact, and how they may be influenced by core beliefs and past experiences. I will work with you to identify the most helpful shifts in thinking or behaviour and support you in the process of making change. You will be the focus during the session. I will value you as a unique person, and an equal.

What can counselling help with

Counselling can help alleviate a variety of problems and issues which cause emotional and psychological distress such as anxiety, depression, loss and bereavement, self esteem and relationship issues. Counselling allows you the time and a safe place to understand how your mind works and how your feelings can form your behaviour and way of being.

What I expect from you

I ask for regular attendance and ask that mobile phones are silenced for the duration of our session so not to disturb our work.

How Do I Work

I work face to face and online via Microsoft Teams. My premises are in Framlingham, Suffolk. IP13

I work with individuals aged 16 years and over.
